Is there a difference between "morals" and "ethics"?
I heard somewhere recently that "morals" comprise a sense of right and wrong and the employment of that sense; "ethics" concern only the knowledge of right and wrong. What do you think of this?

I think the difference is that morality is more of a subjective opinion as to how life is suppose to be lived while ethics is the actual study of morality and how people use and make it.
ReplyDeleteMorals are characteristic of the individual. Ethics are characteristic of a society.
ReplyDeletethis is not only a symantics fight waiting to happen, it already has, I mean the question could be restated as "Define Ethics. Define Morality. Differentiate" I would rather talk about the effect on your morals of society.
